Chuckl. in association with The Stamford Corn Exchange proudly presents Stamford Comedy Club.

Featuring Babatunde Aléshé (as seen on Live at the Apollo and I’m a Celebrity), Ada Campe, Tania Edwards (writer for Mock the Week) and (as seen Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow), Louie Mclean and Jonathan Kogan

Babatunde Aléshé

Babatunde Aléshé is an award winning comedian, writer, actor and podcaster.

A firm TV favourite, Baba has appeared shows including Guessable (Comedy Central), House of Games (BBC), The Sorry I Didn’t Know (ITV), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains (Comedy Central), Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave) as well as a cast regular in the BAFTA nominated Celebrity Gogglebox (C4)

In addition to his success in comedy, Babatunde has authored provocative factual content drawing on his own powerful story of growing up poor in inner city London (Trap Town, London Live). An experienced actor, he has appeared in an extensive list of TV shows including Waking the Dead and films including Pelican Blood and The Naked Poet, alongside cutting-edge theatre such as Iya Ilé (Soho Theatre) and Requiem for Tomorrow (Shaw Theatre).

He is also featured in the cast of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

Tania Edwards

Tania Edwards is a stand up comedian who was a finalist in the Hackney Empire, Amused Moose, Leicester Square, Latitude and Funny Women competitions.

Regularly appearing at major comedy clubs across the country, Tania’s jokes have featured on a number of topical comedy shows including Mock the Week (BBC Two), Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4), Twit of the Year (Channel 4) and The Unbelievable Truth (BBC Radio 4).

Jonathan Kogan

With no topic off-limits, no joke too taboo, Jonathan has launched himself into the world of stand-up.

With a genuine love for and fascination with comedy, he forges his sharp material from a combination of astute observations, self-deprecating Jewish humour and unique one-liners, all with a natural anti-authoritarian slant. He is well aware the emperor wears no clothes, so why
should he have to?

MC Ada Campe

Ada Campe is an award-winning variety artist, cabaret performer, comedian and magician with an eclectic portfolio.

A member of The Magic Circle, Ada is also a sought-after MC, cabaret performer, and comedian across the UK circuit. Her interactive, playful style appeals to audiences of all ages, and as well as late night cabaret shows in London’s West End, she regularly hosts and performs for Comedy Club 4 Kids, Variety Club 4 Kids, and the Glee Club family shows, and is the proud owner of a Little Giggle badge from Girlguiding UK. She has also hosted and performed at corporate events, Museum Lates and festivals across the UK.

In 2018 she won the prestigious Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Show (NATYS), and the Leicester Square Theatre Old Comedian of the Year competition.

Please Note: Babatunde will be joined by three other acts, including the MC. The performance order is not guaranteed. Tickets are for the show as a whole, not specific acts. Timings are approximate, and the lineup may change due to unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to provide similar replacements if needed.
